Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control – Moticont has released the HVCM-025-022-003-01 Hollow Core Voice Coil Motor, featuring an open aperture and high force-to-size ratio. This miniature Linear DC Servo Motor has a continuous force rating of 16.9 oz. (4.7 N) and a peak force of 53.5 oz (14.9 N) at a 10% duty cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

The extended length of the motor is 1.31 inch (33.3 mm) at mid-stroke, and has a 0.125 inch (3.2 mm) diameter open aperture for optics, illumination, laser beams, or passage of cables. Clean and quiet, this non-commutated, miniature brushless servo motor features: Zero cogging and zero backlash (when connected directly to a load), high acceleration, deceleration and high speed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The HVCM-025-022-003-01 Hollow Core Voice Coil Linear Servo Motor is ideal for applications such as: Haptic feedback, medical diagnostic equipment, testing, optical focusing, positioning, laser beam steering, wafer handling, dynamic vibration absorption, laser drilling, cutting, welding, and machining applications.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two threaded mounting holes 6-32 UNC-2B (M3.5X0.6 Metric threads available on request) on 0.500 inch (12.7 mm) diameter bolt circle in the housing and coil ends allow for flexible and easy integration into new and existing applications. When used in closed loop applications with an adequate position sensor, resolutions of less then 1 micron are achievable.
