KABELSCHLEPP AMERICA, Milwaukee, New carriage system technology, created to provide the stationary and moving supporting structures required to make cable and hose carriers work properly in large, demanding applications where cable and conduit weights are far greater than normal, has been extended to large scale systems by KabelSchlepp America, Inc. The carriage system, which includes a moving carriage attached to a fixed track or rails, keeps all typical loading -- except acceleration and deceleration loads -- off the cable carrier itself.

Support rollers affixed to the trolley effectively increase the total travel capabilities by supporting the upper self-supporting section of the carrier, extending the range of cable carriers to applications involving higher speeds and greater distances than usually tolerated, where travel exceeds the self-supporting length of the carrier. Long systems in high temperature and/or harsh applications, for example, may preclude using non-metallic carriers; the alternative metal carrier results in a heavy duty carrier, which will require a rolling carriage system.
