|Motion Control - The RVC-5 Rotational Voice Coil Motor, Establishes a New Standard for Rotational Voice Coil Stages!
Sunnyvale, CA, Equipment Solutions, Inc. introduces the RVC-5 Rotational Voice Coil Motor, setting a new standard for rotational voice coil stages. It is an instrument with the extreme precision of a galvanometer and the compact size and reliability of a resonant scanner. The RVC-5 rotational voice coil motor creates "Rotational Translation" using a flexure bearing. The "Rotational Translation" is achieved by tilting a precision mirror +/- 5°. Developed using advanced FEA technology, this flexure bearing will provide infinite life, and perfectly smooth motion that is free of stiction and friction, and is capable of positioning a load with unprecedented speed and repeatability. Typical industrial, medical, and scientific applications include: Semiconductor fabrication, optical testing, scanning microscopy, circuit board assembly, micro manufacturing, laser cutting, engraving, drilling, and laser marking.
This very compact RVC-5 rotational voice coil motor measures just 25 mm (1.0 in.) wide x 40 mm(1.54 in.) long x 15 mm (0.61 in.) high and has fully integrated absolute angle position sensor electronics. The non-contact electro-optic sensor directly monitors the user load with micro-radian scale resolution and repeatability. This new voice coil motor stage can be commanded to oscillate or move to any fixed point in its angular range following a completely linear velocity move profile. Critical positioning specifications include: Sensor Non-Linearity ±0.3% FS, Sensor Scale Drift 200 PPM/°C, and Sensor Short Term Repeatability 1.5 µrand.
RVC-5 rotational voice coil motor can be supplied with Equipment Solutions, SCAB14 Servo Controlled Amplifier. Easy access mounting holes facilitate integration into new and existing applications and user loads are easily mounted to the rigid "H" frame lever arm.
